Callina has been teaching violin for over 10 years to students of all ages.  She is trained classically and also has years of experience in fiddle music.  She instructed the Fiddlin’ Kiddlin’s fiddle group in Vegreville for two years, and now offers private lessons in the Vegreville and Lamont County areas.  Welcoming beginners to intermediate of any age.

Sarah Card - Beaumont & Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Sarah is a talented musician with an impressive depth and breadth of music training, performance and teaching experience. In addition to her strong classical string and piano training, Sarah studied Celtic fiddle for 5 years with Canadian folk performer and recording artist, Shannon Johnson.

Catherine Rose M.Sc. - Calgary (North-Central), AB.

Taking fiddle and classical violin students beginner to adult.

Catherine has advanced teacher certification in the Mark O’Connor Violin Method. She graduated from the first Canadian class in May 2012 and completed advanced teacher training in July 2014. Catherine has also taken the Suzuki Violin Teacher Training Courses ‘Every Child Can’ and ‘Violin Method, Book 1’ and is a Certified teacher for the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Melanie Smith-Doderai B.A, B.Ed, M.Ed (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta)

Melanie Smith-Doderai holds a B.A, B.Ed, M.Ed and is an active member of the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association and the Alberta Strings Association. Melanie has been awarded the 2009 Excellence in Music Teaching Award as well as the 2012 – 2014 CMFTA Recognition for Professional Achievement Award. In addition to this, she volunteers as the acting treasurer for the Fort Saskatchewan Music Festival, consultants for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s YONA Sistema Project and has written and published nine theory books for string instruments through Mel Bay Publications.
